It is noteworthy that the revenue officers across the state had also protested by taking mass leave on 28th and 29th November. But this time the Revenue Officers have made up their mind that if the case against President Sukhcharan Channi is not withdrawn within two days, then the registry will be stopped indefinitely across Punjab.

Let us tell you that Barnala Vigilance had claimed to have caught Channi, the head of the association, red-handed while taking bribe. Terming Channi’s arrest on Wednesday as illegal, the Revenue Officer Union had last Thursday asked the union members Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar, Sub Registrar and DRO posted across the state to take mass leave in protest and reach outside the Barnala Vigilance Office.
