The final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) is being played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. On Sunday, Mumbai won the toss and chose bowling. Madhya Pradesh scored 174 runs on the basis of captain Rajat Patidar’s fifty. Patidar remained not out after scoring 81 runs. Shardul Thakur took 2 wickets from Mumbai.

Mumbai won the title in 2022 The teams of Mumbai and Madhya Pradesh have faced each other for the first time in the final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Earlier, both had played 1-1 finals against different teams. Mumbai had defeated Himachal Pradesh by 3 wickets in 2022. Whereas MP had to face defeat by 1 run against Bengal in 2011.
