Snowfall in Kashmir-Himachal; impact in jharkhand
The entire Jharkhand is facing bone-chilling cold these days. The snowfall in Kashmir and Himachal is having a direct impact on the state. Meteorologist Abhishek Anand said that this cold wave will continue to wreak havoc in the state.

According to the Meteorological Department report, Sunday was the coldest day of the season in Ranchi. The mercury of Kanke was recorded at 2.4 degrees and that of Namkum-McCluskieganj was recorded at 2.5 degrees. The mercury in Ranchi has fallen by 2.8 degrees to 7.6 degrees.
Such cold for the first time in the second week of December
If we look at the previous years’ data of the Meteorological Department, for the first time in the last four years, such bone-chilling cold is occurring in the second week of December. Due to falling temperature, dew drops have started accumulating on straw and tree leaves in the fields including Kanke, McCluskieganj, Namkum and other areas of Ranchi. There has been a lot of increase in Kankani.
Yellow alert issued for cold wave
Here, the cold wave is disrupting life in Bokaro, Dhanbad, Ramgarh, Garhwa, Chatra, Latehar, Lohardaga and Gumla. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert regarding cold wave in these districts.
The effect of increasing cold is such that the mercury was recorded at 4 degrees in Garhwa, 4.1 degrees in Khunti-Lohardaga and 4.7 degrees in Jagannathpur. People’s life has become difficult due to cold wind.
According to meteorologist Abhishek Anand, the temperature is continuously falling due to the icy wind. The temperature in 22 districts of the state has fallen below 10 degrees.
In some districts it is below 5 degrees. It will be cold on 16th December also. However, there is no possibility of cold wave after this. The increase in temperature from December 17 will provide some relief from the cold.
It will be cloudy from tomorrow, rain on 20-21
According to IMD, the weather will change again from next week. From December 17, most parts of the state including Ranchi will be cloudy. This will increase the minimum temperature and there will be some reduction in cold.
The minimum temperature is likely to increase by 3 to 5 degrees in the next three days. After this, there may be light rain across the state including Ranchi on 20th and 21st December. After the rain there will be severe cold once again. The farewell of the year will pass amidst severe cold.
