Standing on the road, as far as the eye can see, only broken buildings are visible. This is Al Yarmouk city, situated about 7 km away from Syria’s capital Damascus. It was prosperous till 14 years ago, now it looks like a ghost town.

The people here are the living story of the war between the Assad government and the rebels. Most of them are refugees from Palestine, who were rendered homeless during the Arab-Israeli War in 1948.
