A case of assault on a married woman for dowry and then throwing her out of the house and giving her triple talaq has come to light in the Quarsi police station area of Aligarh. After which the victim has filed a case against the accused husband and in-laws in Quarsi police station.

The victim told that her husband works in Aligarh Muslim University. Therefore, her mother-in-law and other in-laws were constantly demanding dowry from her. After this the accused beat him up and threw him out of the house. During this time, the accused husband also gave her triple talaq.
7 lakh rupees were given in cash
Uzma daughter Chaman Khan, resident of Zakir Nagar, Quarsi, told that she was married to Mohammad Ikram, resident of Bhujpura on 20 November 2022. At that time his father had spent Rs 16 lakh and given Rs 7 lakh in cash for the car. But her in-laws were not happy with this.
The in-laws said that their son works in a government job in AMU. Apart from this, his factory is also running. Therefore, she should have received dowry of at least Rs 50 lakh. The accused were continuously demanding to give more Rs 43 lakh. When she refused, they beat her.
The child was beaten and dropped
The victim told that she was being beaten continuously. Meanwhile, when she became pregnant, the accused assaulted her. Due to which her one and a half month pregnancy was also damaged. Then after a few days she became pregnant and gave birth to a daughter, after which the fighting increased.
After the birth of the daughter, the accused took her out of the house on 26 January 2024. And there was a fierce fight on the road itself. After this he was thrown out of the house. Her family members were constantly trying to convince her, but the accused did not agree and one day her husband gave her triple talaq.
9 people including husband were nominated
Based on the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case against 9 people including the accused husband Ikram. In this, brother-in-law Nizam, mother-in-law Anwari, brother-in-law Iqbal and Bablu, sister-in-law Reshma, Gulista, Haji Safia and maternal uncle Nazar have been named by the police and have started investigating the case.
Quarsi police station in-charge Shishupal Sharma said that a case has been registered against the accused and the matter is being investigated. Further strict action will be taken on the basis of investigation.
