Modi government announced the formation of 8th Pay Commission
After the cabinet meeting yesterday, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the 8th Central Pay Commission. The chairman and two members of the commission will be appointed soon. This commission will do research for revision in salary and pension and submit its report to the government. On the basis of that, the government will decide the salary of the employees and pension of the pensioners.
Peon will get this much salary in 8th Pay Commission
Under the 8th Pay Commission, there is an expectation of increase in the salaries of all levels of employees. The basic salary of Level-1 employees like peons and sweepers can increase to Rs 21,300 from the current Rs 18,000. Similarly, the salary of Level-2 employees may increase from Rs 19,900 to Rs 23,880.
This will be the salary of junior clerk and newly joined employees
For Level-3 and Level-4 employees, the salary may increase from Rs 21,700 to Rs 26,040 and Rs 25,500 to Rs 30,600 respectively. At the same time, the salary of Level-5 employees may increase from Rs 29,200 to Rs 35,040.
There will be an increase in the salary of employees from level 6 to level 9 in the 8th Pay Commission.
The grade pay of Level-6 to Level-9 employees ranges between Rs 4,200 to Rs 5,400. This grade includes primary and secondary teachers and village development officers. Their basic salary will also increase.
The salary of employees will increase on the basis of level and basic salary.
Level-6: Rs 35,400 to Rs 42,480
Level-7: Rs 44,900 to Rs 53,880
Level-8: Rs 47,600 to Rs 57,120
Level-9: Rs 53,100 to Rs 63,720
Salary of employees from level 10 to level 12 will increase by this much
Level-10: Rs 56,100 to Rs 67,320
Level-11: Rs 67,700 to Rs 81,240
Level-12: Rs 78,800 to Rs 94,560
This will be the salary of level 13 and 14 officers
There will also be a big benefit for level-13 and 14 officers with grade pay between Rs 8,700 to Rs 10,000.
Level-13: Rs 1,23,100 to Rs 1,47,720
Level-14: Rs 1,44,200 to Rs 1,73,040
This will be the salary of level 15 to 18 officers under the 8th Pay Commission.
The salary of IAS officers, secretaries and chief secretaries falls between level 15 to 18. This will be their salary structure

Level-16: Rs 2,05,400 to Rs 2,46,480
Level-17: Rs 2,25,000 to Rs 2,70,000
Level-18: Rs 2,50,000 to Rs 3,00,000
