An auto going towards Shivnagar Ghat overturned on Monday evening near Sisauni Mor on the Hati-Shivnagar Ghat main road of Biraul police station area of Darbhanga. A 40-year-old woman died in the accident. Meanwhile, two seriously injured women were treated at the Community Health Center of Biraul.

The incident occurred around 4:00 pm. The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Sabiya Devi of Domi Sada, resident of Makhanahi village of Kusheshwarsthan. Who was going by auto to Korthu village to meet her daughter along with her Gotni Pattu Saja’s wife Lukhiya Devi (65).
Near Sisauni turn, the auto went out of control and fell into a 7 feet pit on the roadside. There were 3 women in the auto.
Local people took out the three women. Informed the police. Police of Biraul police station reached the spot. From where the injured women were admitted to the Community Health Center of Biraul for treatment. Where one was declared dead.

At the same time, seriously injured Lukhiya Devi and 32-year-old wife Babita Devi of Mala Mandal of Bhawanipur village of Biraul police station area were referred to DMCH after first aid. The driver absconded after the accident.
Biraul police station incharge said that the accident auto has been confiscated. The woman’s body has been sent to Darbhanga DMCH for postmortem. Two injured women are undergoing treatment. Police is taking further action.
