A Babu of the Election Department in Datia has been caught red-handed while taking bribe by the EOW team of Gwalior. Election observer Alok Khare was demanding a bribe of Rs 30,000 for the reinstatement of a suspended teacher.

According to the information, secondary school teacher Rakesh Shivhare was suspended for a few days. Babu had demanded bribe to prepare his reinstatement file. The teacher had already given Rs 5,000 as advance and the remaining Rs 25,000 was to be transacted today.
Action taken on teacher’s complaint Gwalior EOW DSP Damodar Gupta said that while acting on the teacher’s complaint, the team caught Babu red-handed while taking bribe at the Collectorate on Friday afternoon at 12 noon. The team is taking further action in the matter.
