The accused were caught by Bathinda police.
Bathinda Police has arrested three accused in the case of setting fire to more than half a dozen houses by attacking with petrol bombs in village Dan Singh Wala of Bathinda on Thursday night. The arrested accused include Resham Singh and Ranjit Singh of Dan Singh Wala, and Mahima Sarja.

Nehianwala police station has registered a case on the complaint of Jaspreet Singh, resident of Kothe Jeevan Singh Wala. In the complaint, a case was registered against 20-25 unidentified people including Raminder Singh, Dharampreet Singh, Lovepreet Singh, Satpal Singh, Jeevan Singh, Happy Singh and Resham Singh.
Many families suffered losses in this attack. Their household goods were burnt to ashes. Police are thoroughly investigating the case and special teams have been formed to arrest the remaining accused. Under the leadership of Inspector Jaswinder Kaur, in-charge of Nehianwala police station, the police have arrested three accused, while raids are going on to arrest others.
Attacked for stopping him from selling drugs
The villagers told that a few days ago some people of the village had stopped a young man from selling drugs. Angered by this, drug smugglers came with 50-60 goons at around 12 o’clock on Thursday night and attacked eight houses in the colony. Jaspreet Singh, Roop Singh, Kewal Singh, Daljeet Singh, and Pragat Singh were seriously injured in this attack. The accused attacked them with sharp weapons.
The victims barely escaped with their lives, but their household goods and other property were burnt to ashes. Police have said that soon all the accused will be arrested and strict action will be taken.
