  • Union Carbide’s chemical waste will be burnt at Ramki Enviro Factory located in Ashapura village of Pithampur (Dhar district) near Indore.
  • Ramki Enviro Plant is operated as per the guidelines of Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
  • Earlier, Madhya Pradesh High Court had set the deadline till January 6 to remove the garbage.
  • The government has to present the report in the High Court on Friday, January 3, 2025.
  • On the night of December 2 and 3, 1984, poisonous methyl isocyanate (MIC) gas leaked from the Union Carbide pesticide factory. About 5479 people died in this incident.
