The reservation process for Panchayati Raj elections in Balod district has been completed. Out of total 14 seats of District Panchayat, 9 seats have been reserved for women, which is an important achievement.

Deputy Director Panchayat Akash Soni said that along with the reservation at the district level, the reservation process has also been completed for the posts of 101 district members and 5 District Panchayat Presidents. The reservation process for Sarpanch posts is going on at the district level.
