Delhi Assembly Elections 2025: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released the fourth list for Delhi Assembly elections. Names of 9 candidates are included in this list. BJP has fielded Shikha Rai against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Saurabh Bhardwaj from Greater Kailash seat. Voting for 70 assembly seats of Delhi is to be held in a single phase on February 5 and counting of votes will take place on February 8. With this, BJP has so far announced its candidates for 68 assembly seats out of 70.

Shikha Rai is a lawyer by profession and has contested the assembly elections from Greater Kailash in 2020. He had to face defeat at the hands of Bhardwaj. Apart from holding the post of Secretary, General Secretary and Vice President of BJP’s Delhi unit, she has also been the State President of Mahila Morcha.

Apart from this, BJP has given tickets to Ravindra Kumar from Bawana, Bhuvan Tanwar from Delhi Cantt, Poonam Sharma from Wazirpur, Chandan Kumar Chaudhary from Sangam Vihar, Ravikant Ujjain from Trilokpuri, Sanjay Goyal from Shahadara, Anil Vashishtha from Babarpur and Praveen Nimesh from Gokalpur. . The round of nomination of candidates for Delhi Assembly elections is going on.

The saffron party has so far released three lists of candidates, which include the names of Satish Upadhyay from Malviya Nagar, Ramesh Bidhuri from Kalkaji, Pravesh Verma from New Delhi, Arvinder Singh Lovely from Gandhi Nagar and Satish Jain from Chandni Chowk.

Earlier, BJP had released the first and second lists of 29 candidates each for the 70-member assembly elections. After this, the third list of a candidate was released. Thus, till now BJP has declared candidates on 68 seats. It is believed that BJP may give one seat to its ally Janata Dal (United) out of the remaining two seats. Whereas the second seat can be given to any other colleague.

The last date for filing nomination in Delhi is January 17. Voting is on February 5 while counting of votes will take place on February 8. Before voting, a round of allegations and counter-allegations continues between political parties. The main contest in Delhi is between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party, Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress. Whom the public will support in the country’s capital will be finalized only on February 8.
