Government teachers of Chhattisgarh have supported the dismissed B.Ed assistant teachers. Government teachers are preparing a strategy to close the schools and take one day leave and protest along with the assistant teachers.

State President of School Teachers Association, Virendra Dubey, reached the Tuta protest site on Tuesday and said that talks are going on with all the teacher organizations regarding this and in support, teachers across the state will remain on a one-day leave.
Virendra Dubey said that the state government has taken the decision to fire B.Ed assistant teachers. The school teachers union is opposing it. Because these teachers were selected on the basis of merit and after being fired from the job, all 2900 teachers will face a crisis of livelihood. In such a situation, the government should reconsider its decision.

Now the assistant teachers are on a mass fast demanding service security and adjustment. He says that the movement will continue until the demands are met.
The movement of B.Ed assistant teachers, who had set out on Anunay Yatra from 14th December at the protest site in Naya Raipur, is going on at the protest site in Tuta after reaching Raipur on 19th December. The health of three female teachers has also deteriorated during the mass fast in the assistant teachers’ movement.
The government has not yet taken any decision regarding their demands. Although a high level committee has been formed, no deadline has been set for it.

B.Ed assistant teachers started the Anunay Yatra on foot from Ambikapur to Raipur on 14th December. After reaching Raipur, the yatra turned into a dharna from 19th December. During this time, teachers also sent letters to the government and public representatives to express their pain.
Blood donation camp organized at the protest site
After the protest started, teachers organized a blood donation camp at the protest site itself on 22 December. In this camp, by donating blood, the teachers sent the message to the government that they are dedicated to the welfare of the society and the country and are fighting for their rights in a peaceful manner.

Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has also supported the movement by reaching the Tuta protest site.
Teachers performed mass tonsure
26 December- The assistant teachers sitting in the movement got mass tonsure done to draw the attention of the government towards their demands. Along with men, female teachers also got their hair cut. Said, this is not just a sacrifice of hair but a voice of pain and justice for their future.
28 December- The protesting teachers performed yagya and havan after tonsure. Said that, if our demands are not accepted, then we will be forced to take symbolic mass water samadhi.
29 December- Tribal women teachers tried to meet Finance Minister OP Chaudhary, but without success. Kept standing in front of the bungalow for 2 hours for the meeting.
30 December –Performed water satyagraha carrying the photo of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The protesters said that they are firm on their demands. We want to convey this message to the government that our jobs should also be saved and adjustments should be made under good governance.
1 January – All the protesters together surrounded the BJP office Kushabhau Thackeray complex located in Mana. The protesters here were arrested by the police.
2 January – Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel reached and supported the movement.
January 3 – The government has formed a high level administrative committee. This committee formed under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary includes 5 officers.
January 3 – Angered by the demands not being met, the assistant teachers started a mass fast.
6 January – A memorandum was submitted to the Commissioner for voting boycott by going to the State Election Commission.
