On January 13, the second day of the nomination process for the by-election of Milkipur (Scheduled Caste) assembly seat in Ayodhya, 12 candidates bought a total of 22 nomination papers. According to Returning Officer Rajiv Ratan Singh, the last date for nomination is January 17, 2025.

Those who bought nomination papers on the second day included Chaudhary Arun Kumar Kori from Lok Janshakti Party, Om Prakash from Communist Party of India, Pyare from Bharat Utkarsh Party, Sunita from Rashtriya Janwadi Party and many candidates from Azad Samaj Party Kashiram. Apart from this, some independent candidates have also purchased pamphlets.

On the first day, on January 10, Ajit Prasad and Amit Prasad of Samajwadi Party, Ramnaresh Chaudhary of Fundamental Rights Party and independent candidate Kanchan Lata had bought nomination papers. However, no candidate has formally filed his nomination yet.
