Panchayat workers united under the banner of Madhya Pradesh Gram Panchayat Servants and Pump Operator Employees Union of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh said that it is not possible for them to work in low honorarium. Therefore, we should be given minimum wages under the Labor Act. The union also submitted a memorandum in the Collectorate.

State Executive President of the Sangh, Yashwant Gedam said that today Panchayat workers at the district level in the entire state are submitting memorandum regarding their demands. He said that the pump drivers, sweepers, servants and accountants working in the Panchayat want equal work, equal pay scale, the salary given to the post in which the employee is working, wherever in Madhya Pradesh. Yes, the same kind of pay scale should be given. He told that the servant working in the Panchayat is forced to work for just Rs 2 to 3 thousand. Everyone should get minimum wages under the Labor Act.
