Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday termed former Bharatiya Janata Party MP Ramesh Bidhuri’s remarks about her as “ridiculous”. He said that during the Delhi Assembly elections, important issues should be discussed instead of such irrelevant topics. “He (Bidhuri) didn’t say anything about his cheek,” the Lok Sabha member from Wayanad took a dig at reporters while coming out of a meeting of the parliamentary committee that was simultaneously considering election-related bills.
He said it was a ‘ridiculous comment’ and ‘it’s all irrelevant.’ Priyanka Gandhi said, “Elections are being held in Delhi. Important issues should be discussed.

BJP candidate from Kalkaji Assembly constituency, Bidhuri had recently said that he will build roads like Congress leader ‘Priyanka Gandhi’s cheeks’ in his constituency. After the controversy arose, Bidhuri had expressed regret over the comment.
Bidhuri had said, “We will make all the roads of Kalkaji like the cheeks of Priyanka Gandhi. Lalu had said that he will make roads in Bihar like the cheeks of Hema Malini, but he could not do so. But I assure you that We will make all the roads of Kalkaji like the cheeks of Priyanka Gandhi.”
Bidhuri later regretted his remarks, which were criticized by various sections including the Congress.
