The team of Delhi Police Special Cell and Jharkhand ATS achieved a major success on Friday. A suspected terrorist of Al Qaeda (AQIS) was arrested from Chanho block of Ranchi. The arrested person has been identified as Shahbaz Ansari.

According to sources, Delhi Special Cell has arrested Shahbaz Ansari, accused in case number 301/24, with the help of Jharkhand Police. Now the Special Cell team is preparing to take the suspect to Delhi on police remand.

9 suspects were arrested Five months ago, Jharkhand ATS along with Delhi Police had raided 16 places in Ranchi, Hazaribagh and Lohardaga. After this, 9 suspects were arrested. In this, Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed, working as a radiologist in Medica Hospital, Ranchi, was also caught by ATS.
Dr. Ishtiaq, who was caught from the apartment located in Joda Talab, Ranchi, was on the post of radiologist for 6 years. According to sources, Dr. Ishtiaq is the mastermind of Al Qaeda in Indian Subcontinent terrorist organization. He was planning to make India an Islamic state.
ATS had also raided 6 places of Chanho. 4 people were detained. Among those detained was Mohd. Balsokara. Modabbir, Mohd. Rizwan, Mafti Rahmatullah Mazhiri of Chatwal and Matiur Rahman of Pipratoli are included. Whereas Enamul Ansari and Shahbaz were not found in the house.
