Food and grocery delivery platform Swiggy has launched a new app SNACC for delivery of food items and beverages in 15 minutes. This app has been launched at a time when competition in the food delivery sector is at its peak and existing and new players in this segment are offering various offers to meet the changing tastes of Indian consumers.
Till now, the company has kept all its offers like food delivery, quick commerce, hyperlocal delivery, dining out etc. under one main app.
From Blinkit’s Bistro to Zepto CafĂ© and Swish, players big and small are expanding their reach in view of the tremendous growth in food delivery.
Many companies, especially quick commerce platforms like Blinkit and Zepto, are launching separate apps for food delivery and other uses to increase the reach of customers for different services.
Moneycontrol has taken stock of the SNACC app and its offers. Its background is green, while the text font is dark blue. The app went live in parts of the company’s head office in Bengaluru on January 7. Sources said that Swiggy will expand to other areas also and the scope of the offer will be extended to other parts of the country as well.
The SNACC landing page displays a menu with multiple categories, such as Breakfast, Coffee, Bakery Cold Beverages, Eggs, and Protein. This company has tied up with brands like Blue Tokai and The Whole Truth in some categories. The rest of the items are non-branded and are purchased from third party food providers. According to sources, the blueprint of this app and its related offers was prepared in mid-December itself, which means that this service has been started in less than a month.
