14 Maoists surrender before Telangana police

Fourteen members of various cadres of the CPI (Maoist) surrendered before the Bhadradri-Kothagudem Police and Central Reserve Police Force on Tuesday, May 6.

Bhadradri-Kothagudem Superintendent of Police B. Rohit Raju said that among those who surrendered, eleven were men and the rest were women. Of them, thirteen hail from Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, and one is from Charla mandal in Telangana’s Bhadradri-Kothagudem district.

The surrendered Maoists include two Area Committee Members (ACMs), four party members and Village Committee Members (VCMs), three Revolutionary People’s Committee (RPC) members, and one member of the Krantikari Adivasi Mahila Sangathan (KAMS).
