Samantha Ruth Prabhu recalls taking photos with fans despite her father’s death.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who is getting ready for the release of her first film as a producer, Subham, recently shared a heartfelt memory. She recalled a time when, after learning of her father’s death, she was still expected to take pictures with fans. At that moment, she was in Mumbai but quickly flew to Chennai to be with her family. Even though she was in shock, she continued to smile and take photos, as the fans didn’t know what she was going through.
In an interview with Galatta Plus, Samantha explained that she never refuses to take pictures because fans are the reason for her success. She recalled, “I never say no to pictures because they are the people who made you who you are. I remember just recently in December, I got a call in the morning from my mother that my dad has passed away. I had to take the first flight out of Mumbai to Chennai and I was in shock because I had not spoken to my dad in a while. I was kind of frozen on the flight without much reaction and I remember there were quite a few people who asked for my picture and I remember standing and taking all these pictures and smiling.”
Samantha shared that fans often don’t understand what someone might be going through. “The thing is if you just say ‘no’, they don’t know what state you are in… it takes a lot of courage to walk up to someone and ask them to take a picture with you. So I didn’t want to say no and upset them.” Samantha’s situation also made her think the setbacks of her profession and being a public figure. She said, “When I was smiling for these pictures, it hit me, no normal person would be expected to smile on the day their dad died. It is absolutely another world,” Samantha recalled.
On the personal front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is rumoured to be dating director Raj Nidimoru. She was earlier married to actor Naga Chaitanya but they divorced.
