Alkem Laboratories have been ordered to pay a fine of ₹ 40,74,186 under the Revenue Deputy Commissioner, State Tax, Bureau of Investigation (North Bengal), Alipurdwar Zone, West Bengal, 2017 under IGST Act, 2017. The order was received after alleged technical mistakes in documents filed by the transporter carrying consignments of goods on 25 July 2025.
Alkem Laboratories have said that the fine is not expected to have any significant impact on its financial or operational activities. The company sees this issue as a once -time event and has taken measures to ensure better compliance with future documentation needs.
In its revelations, Alkem Laboratories have confirmed their commitment to follow all statutory and regulatory requirements. The company is reviewing its internal processes to prevent similar issues in the future. The disclosure was made in compliance with Sebi (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 Regulation 30.
