Chavadi Bazaar -Red Fort Market will not be shifted to another place, CM said this thing about the old market of Delhi - Delhi CM Rekha Gupta said that old delhi market will not shift anyway

Old Delhi Market: The Delhi government is now preparing to decorate the crowded historical markets of Old Delhi. There is no plan to shift these markets elsewhere by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, but they will be developed with modern facilities there.

Crushed during meeting CII representatives

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said these when representatives of the Board of India (CII) met him at the Delhi Secretariat. In this meeting, there was a discussion about problems related to traders and their solutions. He said that the government aims to flourish in Delhi itself. Not to remove the markets, they need to be strengthened.

Delhi Merchant Welfare Board will be helpful

The Chief Minister said that ‘Delhi Merchant Welfare Board’ has been formed to solve the problems of traders. This board will help in spreading small shopkeepers, traders and market associations directly to the government.

New logistics infrastructure will be made for godowns

Under the government’s scheme, existing shops, small warehouses and offices in Old Delhi markets will remain in their place, so that there is no obstruction in the traditional trade system. However, in view of the increasing storage problem, large warehouses and logistics centers will be built in the outskirts of Delhi.

Conservation and modernity together

Rekha Gupta said that Old Delhi markets are part of Delhi’s cultural and economic heritage. Therefore, their protection is necessary. The government will not break these markets, but will make them clean, safe and convenient. He also said that a safe and cooperative environment will be created to do business without fear and hindrance.

Small traders will get new opportunities

This scheme will not only change the picture of Delhi markets, but will also create new opportunities for small shopkeepers and traders. Traditional markets of Old Delhi will be molded according to today’s business environment. The Chief Minister assured that the government will soon start work on this scheme and traders will be taken along at every step.
