According to the police, the accused, describing themselves as impressive, told the leader that they could give him a high position in the Mineral Development Corporation of the state. In this confidence, he took a huge amount, but later it was found that all this was a deception. The matter is now under investigation.

A case of cheating has been registered against two people on the complaint of 64 -year -old Santosh Kataria at Keshkal police station in Kondagaon. The police officer said that the names of the two people have been registered, Kajal Joshi alias Komal Ingule and Rajiv Sony Are. He allegedly cheated Kataria and cheated millions. According to the FIR, Santosh Kataria, a member of the core group of BJP Kondagaon unit, said in the complaint that Raipur resident Rajiv Soni had met Kajal Joshi. Kataria has also been the president of North Bastar BJP unit earlier, when Chhattisgarh used to be a part of Madhya Pradesh.
Kataria said in his police complaint that on 12 August 2023, Kajal Joshi called him and described himself as an official associated with BJP and RSS living in Nagpur and Delhi. He also claimed that he had good relations with Union Ministers and some ministers of the Government of Chhattisgarh.
Kataria said in his complaint that Kajal Joshi had allegedly promised to help him the chairman of Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation instead of Rs 3 crore. Kataria told, “I told him clearly that it is not possible to raise such a huge amount immediately for me, but I can give 20 lakh rupees. After this, on 20 August 2024, I gave Rs 20 lakh cash to Kajal Joshi in Delhi. Given.”

Kataria told the police that when his name did not appear in the appointment list of the corporation and board in Chhattisgarh, he tried to contact Kajal Joshi, but she had stopped picking up the call. In his complaint, he said that when he spoke to other leaders of the party about this, he was told that no woman named ‘Kajal Joshi’ is working in BJP or organization. This made him feel cheated. The police officer said that a case has been registered against both the accused under sections 318 (4) (fraud) and 3 (5) (general intent) of the Indian Code. The investigation of the case is currently under investigation.
