The Pune rape case has a shocking twist, according to a report, the woman who had earlier claimed that a person who came to her house in a posh society raped her by a person who came to her home delivery boy, allegedly lodged a complaint against her friend. During the investigation, it was found that the accused was a friend of the victim and both had known each other for many years. The report said that they had met several times at the woman’s house before and they decided to meet on Wednesday as the alleged incident took place.
The NDTV quoted the police as saying that the IT professional woman told the police that she was not ready for sex that day, yet, the person forced her.
Both people first met at a community event and became friends. The report quoted sources as saying that the accused used to ask for a parcel house and when his family was out, he also came to his house.
As the investigation got entangled in the mystery, the woman allegedly confessed in her statement in front of the police that she had initially given misinformation to the police. Explaining the reason for this, she told the police that the evening he reached her house, she was not ready for sex, but she forced her to.
NDTV quoted Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar as saying, “So he got angry and lodged a police complaint that he was raped.”
She earlier claimed in her complaint that a person who came as a delivery agent came to her flat in Kondhwa area when she was alone and allegedly raped her.
He also claimed that the accused also took a selfie on his phone, in which his back and some part of his face were visible. He claimed that he had left a message that he had taken pictures of him and if he informed the police about the incident, he would leak them online. He had earlier claimed that it was written in the message, “I will come back.”
However, after taking the suspect into custody, the police came to know that the woman was the woman who took the selfie. His face was clearly visible in the real picture, but he edited her and also type alleged threatening messages.
The report said that the families of the two knew each other. The suspected person was a high qualified professional. The police further confirmed that no spray was sprinkled on the woman’s face, as was doubt before.
Police said, “We are still finding out why the victim accused of rape and its investigation is still going on, as the girl’s mental state is not right at the moment.”
