    SBI Card has made a major change. Now it has been decided to close the free air accident insurance cover found on many co-branded credit cards. This change will be applicable from 11 August 2025. Till now, some Elite and Prime cards issued in collaboration with UCO Bank, Central Bank, PSB, Karur Vaishya Bank, Allahabad Bank etc. were being given an air accident cover of Rs 1 crore or Rs 50 lakh. But now this facility will be discontinued.

    Karnataka Bank SBI Platinum Credit Card

    City Union Bank SBI Card Prime

    Allahabad Bank SBI Card Prime

    United Bank of India (UBI) SBI Platinum Credit Card

    Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) SBI Visa Platinum Card

    Federal Bank SBI Platinum Credit Card

    Bank of Maharashtra (BOM) SBI Platinum Credit Card

    Changes in billing system also

    SBI Card has also made changes in its billing and payment process since 15 July 2025. Now the entire GST amount, EMI, fees, finance charge, overlimit amount and 2% of the remaining bill will be added to the minimum amount du.

    Payment adjustment

    Now the payment made by the customer will be first adjusted to GST, then EMI, then fees and charges, finance charges, balance transfer, retail expenses and finally cash advance. Therefore, people who have cards mentioned above, should read the new conditions carefully before August 11 and choose the option if needed.
