Along with the rain in Delhi, another danger is secretly entering the houses – Sampra. Recently a surprising case came to light when a snake was found in the kitchen on the third floor of a residential building in the capital. This incident spread panic in the area. People immediately called the emergency helpline of Wildlife SOS, after which the NGO’s rescue team reached the spot and caught the snake safely. It was reported that this snake was yellow, thin and non -toxic with black crossband.
Experts believe that monsoon rains have forced snakes to get out of their natural habitat, due to which they are now reaching urban areas and high buildings.
Cases increased from Delhi-NCR to Kashmir
Dozens of snakes have been rescued in the last few weeks in cities like Delhi, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, and Agra. Snakes have been seen everywhere from the kitchen cupboard to the car bonnet and poultry. Similar incidents have come to light in Kashmir.
Kitchen, Snakes reaching bathrooms and cupboards
A three -foot -tall rat snake was found in the kitchen wardrobe on the third floor in a building in the East of Kailash. At the same time, the cobra sitting near the gas cylinder in the JNU canteen was caught. There was also an incident of meeting a rat snake in the Prime Minister’s residence.
Changes in awareness
Now people are calling on the helpline of organizations like Wildlife SOS instead of getting nervous after seeing snakes. These teams immediately reach the spot and hold the snake safely and leave it in the forest. These changes are necessary for both safety and environmental protection.
Not every snake is dangerous
People have misunderstandings that every snake is poisonous. Whereas the truth is that snakes like rat snakes are without poison and help reduce the number of mice in fields or houses. Still people kill them due to fear.
You can avoid danger carefully
According to wildlife experts, these incidents can be avoided by adopting some easy measures:
Keep cleaning around the house
Keep garbage above the ground
Close cracks of drains and walls
Examine the storeroom, bathroom and wardrobe periodically
Do not walk barefoot in grass or mud areas
Teach children caution too
Explain to the children that do not put hands in a dark place and if you see a snake, then tell the elders in peace. Do not try to panic or catch yourself.
