Scientists from South Korea’s Kaist (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) have created a new technology for the treatment of cancer, named Revert. In this technique, cells can be normalized before the cancer is formed. This is called ‘Critical Moment’. The name of this technique is Revert. Through this, the gene network of body cells is seen and it is ascertained which ‘molecular switches’ can help to become cancer cells. If these switches are closed or turned on in time, the process of cancer formation can be stopped. It includes MYC and YY1 two main jeans. According to Professor Quang-Hune, he has intensified the process of identifying this particular time in patients.
How was the result
Scientists also tried this technique at small organs made from patients’ cells. It was observed that when the genes stated with Revert technology were targeted, the cells started functioning in a normal way. According to Professor Quang-Hune Cho, his team has caught the main madde when the normal cell starts functioning incorrectly. At the same time, if it is made back healthy, then the risk of becoming cancer is greatly reduced.
