On midnight of 7 and 8 May, the Indian Army made accurate attacks on 9 terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK) under the retaliation of the Pahalgam attack. According to defense sources, this action taken between 1:05 pm and 1:30 pm shocked the Pakistani army.
A total of 24 accurate missile attacks were carried out on major terrorist targets in Pakistan including MuridK and Bahawalpur. These hideouts are considered to be the strongholds of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JEM) respectively.
New Delhi later mentioned that the attacks were targeted by the terrorist structure. During this time, the attack on Pakistani military establishments was deliberately avoided. India said that this campaign was restrained and non-envying. Its purpose was only to demolish the terrorist network responsible for the Pahalgam attack.
