Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Attacked: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said on Wednesday (August 20) that the attack during public hearing this morning was not only on me. Rather, there is a cowardly effort on our resolve to serve the capital and the good of the public. He said that I was shocked after this attack. But now I feel better. The CM said that public hearing will continue, such attacks cannot break my passion or determination of doing public service.
He said that I will soon be seen working among you. CM said that now I will be among you with more energy and dedication than before. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta was attacked by a person during the ‘Public Hearing’ program held at his office in Civil Lines, Delhi on Wednesday morning.
The Chief Minister’s Office described the attack as part of the planned conspiracy to kill CM. PWD (Public Works Department) Minister Pravesh Verma said that the Chief Minister has suffered injuries in his hands, shoulders and heads. A senior police officer associated with the investigation said that it was a serious attack and could have been fatal.
Gupta said in a post on social media platform X, “The attack on me during public hearing this morning is not only on me. But there is a cowardly attempt on our resolve of service and public good. It is natural that I was in shock after this attack, but now I am feeling better. I request all my well -wishers that I will not be worried to meet me very soon.”
The CM further wrote, “Such attacks can never break my spirits and resolve to serve the public. Now I will be among you with more energy and dedication than ever before.
