Apple has established the entire production process of its iPhone 17 series in India. This is the first time the company has made an iPhone model in India from the launch. This step is reducing dependence on Apple China, as well as promoting India’s production capacity.
Apple has started production of all the models of iPhone 17 in five factories in India, of which two new plants have recently launched by Tata Group and FoxConn.
The Tata Group’s Hasanur plant and Foxcon’s new factory near Bangalore are the main centers of this production expansion, which are going to double the production of Apple in India.
With this change, Apple will be able to send Indian -made iPhones from China to the US market, which will prevent America’s new import tariffs.
Apple exported $ 7.5 billion iphones from India between April and July 2025, which is about half of the previous financial year.
In 2024–25, iPhone production in India was $ 22 billion, with an increase of 60% compared to last year.
Foxconn’s Bangalore factory has become its second largest iPhone factory outside China, which has increased the production capacity of Apple.
