Raja Murder Case: Chargesheet filed against 5 including Sonam, wife of King Raghuvanshi, 790 pages reported by Meghalaya Police


Raja Raghuvanshi Murder Case: Meghalaya Police has filed a 790 -page charge sheet in the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi of Indore. In his chargesheet, the police has accused five people, including Raja’s wife Sonam Raghuvanshi, in the case. Sonam Raghuvanshi, Raj Kushwaha, Vishal Singh Chauhan, Ashish Singh Rajput and Anand Kurmi have been filed under various sections of the Indian Justice Code. Please tell that the body of the king was found in a ditch in Sohra in Cherrapunji during his honeymoon.

The matter has now reached an important phase with the 790-page long charge sheet filing. The king’s wife as the main accused is one of the most sensational aspect of the case. Now the court will investigate the evidence submitted, and in the coming days the accused will be tried.

What is the matter of King Raghuvanshi Murder?

According to police records, Raja and Sonam, who hail from Indore, went to Shillong for their honeymoon on May 21, 2025, after which he moved to Sohra. His disappearance was reported on 26 May. After the Sohra Police, Special Operations Team (SOT), NDRF, SDRF and a deep search operation by local villagers, the king’s body was found on 2 June in a deep ditch near Wei Savdong of Sohra.

Wife Sonam hatched a conspiracy to murder

In the beginning King Raghuvanshi And Sonam was said to be missing. The investigation took a shocking turn when Sonam met several days later at a dhaba in UP. The police nominated him as the main accused in a conspiracy to murder four other people. As part of the investigation, a special investigation team (SIT) recreated the crime scene in Sohra in the presence of all the accused, including Sonam.
