Total Lunar Eclipse September 2025: Tomorrow will be the longest full lunar eclipse after 2022, wait for the next eclipse by 2028 - Total Lunar Eclipse September 2025 Tomorrow will be the long -launar ecolypse after 2022222222222 on Till 2028 for the next eclipse

Total Lunar Eclipse September 2025: The second and last lunar eclipse of the year will take place on the night of 7 and 8 September. This will be the first time after 2018, when the lunar eclipse will be seen from almost all the states of the country. Its duration will be around 82 minutes and will be the most linga lunar eclipse after 2022. According to astronomers, after this, such views will have to be awaited by 31 December 2028. During the eclipse, the moon will become red in the shadow of the earth, due to which it is being called blood moon. The moon will look like this during the full lunar eclipse. On this day there is a full moon of Bhadrapada month and Pitra Paksha is also starting from this day.

Associate Professor Divya Oberoi at the National Radio Astronomy Physics Center in Pune said, “You will have to wait till 31 December 2028 for the next lunar eclipse.” Neeruj Mohan Ramanujam, head of the Science, Communication, Public Relations and Education (Scope) section of the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, said that unlike solar eclipse, special equipment is not required to see a full lunar eclipse and can be seen with naked eyes, binoculars or telescope.

Eclipse timing

The full eclipse will be from 11.01 pm to 12.23 pm. Its duration will be 82 minutes. Partial eclipse can be seen on September 7 from 9.57 pm. It will end at 1.26 pm and the full eclipse will end on September 8 at 2.25 am. During this time the moon will be completely covered with the shade of the earth and the red color of copper will appear.

When does a full lunar eclipse happen

Moon will be covered by Earth’s shadow

Neeruj Mohan Ramanujam said, ‘Upchhaya eclipse, in which the moon is covered with the light shade of the earth, it is difficult to see with eyes without help and it requires binoculars or telescope. But partial eclipse, in which the Earth’s shadow covers a part of the moon, it can be easily seen with eyes without any help. ‘

Because of this, the moon turns red and the blood moon looks

During the full lunar eclipse, the color of the moon turns red because the earth comes between the sun and the moon. During this time the light of the sun passes through the atmosphere of the earth, which turns it. It is shattered when turned. This causes the blue and purple wavelength of the light, while red and orange wavelength rays reach the moon surface. Because of this, the color of the moon looks red like copper. Therefore, it is called blood moon and this happens only during full lunar eclipse. Which is two to three times a year.
