Trump Adviser Navarro: US President Donald Trump advisor Peter Navarro has attacked Elon Musk. In fact, Musk’s social media platform X made a post-check of Navaro after India buying oil from Russia, after which he was enraged. Navaro is constantly targeting India’s trade with Russia. They allege that it is ‘to earn a complete profit’ and ‘Russia’s war machine gets money’.
Explain that the recent comment of Navarro was ‘Fact-Czech’ by a community note of X, stating that the oil trade is ‘not just for profit, but for energy security’ and it does not violate any restrictions. After this fact-check, Navaro was enraged.
Navaro reacted sharply to X’s ‘Fact-Czech’
After the fact-check, Navaro wrote in his post on X, ‘Wow, @Lonmusk are allowing propagandnda to come in people’s posts. The nonsense note given below is only that. Nonsense. India only buys Russia oil for profiteering. He did not buy any oil before Russia attacked Ukraine. The promotional machine of the Indian government is working very fast. Stop killing Ukrainian. Stop taking American jobs. ‘
This reaction of Navaro came to the previous post of him, alleging that ‘Americans’ jobs were going from India’s high tariffs.
What is India’s attitude on Navaro’s constant rhetoric?
This post of Navarro is a link to the frequent comments made against India regarding Russia’s oil trade. Earlier, he had made similar allegations in an interview with Bloomberg Television. Then Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal had said, “We have seen the wrong and misleading statements made by Navaro, and of course, we reject him.”
Navarro’s comment comes at a time when US President Donald Trump himself is trying to mediate to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Trump also earlier described India’s oil imports as helping to fund Moscow’s war efforts and imposed 50% tariff on Indian imports last month. However, India has constantly maintained the stance that it will continue to buy Russian oil as it is financially beneficial.
It is worth noting that Trump also has domestic pressure on its own policies. An American appellate court has recently termed some of his tariff measures as ‘illegal’.
