Samsung Galaxy S22: Samsung Galaxy S22 series has started receiving One UI 8 update in Europe. This new firmware is based on Android 16 and brings many new features and redesigned elements to the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra. This update comes a few weeks after it was released in South Korea for the Galaxy S24 FE. However, the first rollout of One UI 8 was in September for the Galaxy S25 series phones.

This means that Galaxy S22 series users in Europe can now use Samsung’s new software features after downloading the Android 16 update. However, according to reports, this update does not include the Now Brief feature, which was rolled out for the Galaxy S24 FE and Galaxy S25 series.
The One UI 8 update includes many new features and redesigned elements. New icons of apps like My Files, Quick Share and Reminders will appear. The Settings menu has also been completely redesigned. Improved user interface has been added for Alarms, Calendar and Samsung Health apps. Additionally, One UI 8 based on Android 16 now also supports Live Updates feature, allowing users to see the weather, ongoing activities, and sports scores in real-time.
How to Install One UI 8 Update on Samsung Galaxy S22 Series?
You can see if One UI 8 version based on Android 16 is available for you by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates. If it appears, then after accepting the conditions, tap on Download and install it. At the same time, the company has asked users to download the update on Wi-Fi network and keep the phone charged.
