India’s First High Speed Railway Track : Indian Railways is building the first dedicated high-speed test track for trains. It is expected to be completed by the end of the financial year 2025-26. The project is being developed by Research Design and Standards Organization (RDSO), a research body of Indian Railways, at a cost of Rs 967 crore.

A test track is being constructed between Gudha and Thathana Mithri in a new area of ​​Jodhpur Division, about 70 km from Jaipur. The project comes under the administrative jurisdiction of North Western Railway (NWR).

According to a report in Indian Express, Chief Public Relations Officer (PRO) of North Western Railway (NWR) Shashi Kiran has confirmed this development plan. He said that the Research Design and Standards Organization (RDSO) will thoroughly test the rolling stock on a dedicated high-speed test track. About 58 km of the total 64 km long project has been completed and the target is to complete the entire project by March 2026, Kiran said.

According to CPRO, Indian Railways is building the country’s first RDSO (Research Designs and Standards Organization) dedicated test track for thorough testing of rolling stock. Between Gudha and Thathana Midhri in Jodhpur Division of North Western Railway Rs. This 64 km track is being built at a cost of 967 crores. At present, about 58 km of the project has been completed. The entire project is targeted to be completed by March 2026. ‘
