Let me tell you that the PIB has investigated the facts of the claims made regarding the new communication rule. In this regard, PIB tweeted from its official Twitter handle that a message was claiming that social media and phone calls would be monitored by the Government of India under ‘new communication rules’.

This claim is completely false
A fact check conducted by PIB Fact Check found that this claim is completely false. There is no truth in this viral message. The message said that the government is going to keep an eye on people’s social media handles like Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter etc. This claim is completely bogus. No such rules have been enforced by the Government of India. In such a situation people should not share any such fake / obscure information.
