In Sabarkantha, for the third time in the last 10 days, there has been a stir in the district on Saturday with the arrival of 30 new corona positive reports in the district. The number of active cases has now reached 97 after 9 persons have been declared corona free. A total of 266 cases have been registered in 59 days in the fourth wave.
Epidemic Officer Rda. Pravin Damor said that out of the 30 positive cases registered on Saturday, a 60-year-old man from Himmatnagar village has been admitted to Himmatnagar GMERS. He has received two doses of the vaccine. Currently, the health is stable while an 11-year-old child from the bus stand area of KhedBrahma has not received the vaccine. A 26-year-old man registered in GMERS quarters and a 41-year-old man from Asyara Residency in Talod have received three doses of the vaccine each, besides the rest of the infected have received two doses of the vaccine and are undergoing treatment in home isolation.
Among the new 30 cases, the highest number of cases are 19 from Himmatnagar taluka while 05 cases are in Idar, 04 in Talod and 02 in KhedBrahma, including 20 males and 10 females. It may be noted that Himmatnagar taluka has the highest number of active cases in the district, 66 in which 58 are from rural areas and only 08 are from urban areas.
