Hasmukhbhai Chandubhai Gohel lives in Gohel Paliya in Vatrolli village of Matar taluka and earns his living by farming. On July 29, 22, at half past eight in the morning, near the bus stand of the village, Hasmukhbhai Gohel refused to draw water from the field to Kalu Bhikhabhai Bharwad. About which the black shepherd quarreled with him. Later, Mayur Kalabhai Bharwad and Bharat Bharwad also quarreled with Hasmukhbhai.

Later, Bhanu Gadhu Bharwad, Veeram Bharwad, Vikram Bhikha Bharwad, Lala Vikrambhai Bharwad (all res. Vatrolli) rushed in with firearms in the guise of Kalo Bharwad, Mayur Bharwad and Bharat Bharwad. And Hasmukhbhai Gohel was seriously injured by a spade on his left hand. Apart from this, other parts of the body were also injured due to the beating. However, the assailants fled as the people around rushed to the attack. But he threatened to kill him first. Hasmukhbhai Gohel filed a complaint at the Tarapur police station and the police registered a case against seven shepherds and conducted further investigation.
