- Action taken against 2 policemen for negligence after kidnapping accused brought to Warahi government hospital for medical check-up runs away
A crime has been registered at the Warahi police station against the accused in the kidnapping case of a minor who was taken for a medical check-up at the Warahi Government Hospital and escaped after giving way to the police.
Rahulji Hingolji Thakor of Bhadriwadi village of Kankerage taluk, who kidnapped the daughter of Gokhantar of Santalpur taluk, was nabbed by Warahi police on Thursday. On Friday night, the accused was brought to Warahi Collective Health Center for medical examination along with the police seizure. After taking the medical examination back to the police station, the accused Rahulji Thakor ran away from the gate of the health center, avoiding the sight of the police seizure men. Accused Rahulji Higolji Thakor was booked.
Legal action was taken at Warahi police station against Public Protector Merajbhai Waghabhai and Kapilbhai Muljibhai for showing gross negligence in allowing the accused to escape without taking any due care during the seizure of the medical examination. The investigation of which was handed over to PI Gadabhai Rabari.
