A Muslim girl from Katihar married a Hindu boy from UP. Both of them first fell in love through Facebook, then after mutual consent, court marriage took place. But angry with this marriage, some relatives and neighbors of the girl tried to forcibly convert the boy to religion. When he resisted, he was beaten up. In this regard, the young man’s wife has appealed for justice by applying against 11 nominated people in the assistant police station. The matter is near Chaudhary State Hostel located in Dehria.

Alima Khatoon, 21-year-old daughter of Mohammad Alam Rai, resident of Sharifganj Dehria Ward No. 42 of Assistant Police Station area, became friends with 22-year-old Jeet Babu, a resident of Bareilly, UP, 8 months ago through Facebook. Then friendship turned into love. The love between the two became so deep that ignoring religious ties, both of them got married with mutual consent on July 12 in the Katihar Civil Court.

But the relatives and neighbors of the girl, the contractor of religion, went through this absolutely exasperating. He wanted to convert Jeet Babu into a Muslim. But Jeet Babu refused to do so. Alima Khatoon told that she lives with her husband Jeet Babu near her maternal home near Chaudhary State Hostel in Dehria. In the meantime, about a dozen armed men, including nominated Mo Ghulam Rai, Munnu Rai, Zaheer Rai, Idrish Rai, Anwar Rai, Ghulam Rai, Mubarak Rai, Islam Rai, Ruby Khatoon, Ruksana Khatoon, Nagina Khatoon, along with others went home. He entered and started beating. While rescuing her husband, Alima’s leg was cut off by a sharp weapon. Registering a case against the 11 named accused by giving a written application to the assistant police station regarding the assault, has appealed to the police administration for justice.
Panchayati tax issue resolved
In this regard, Assistant Police Station President Ravindra Kumar said that an application was made by the woman regarding conversion of religion. In which 11 people were named. Dehria’s case. On which the police went to take action, the matter has been resolved amongst themselves by the local people by setting up a panchayat. The application made by the woman was also withdrawn.
