E-scooters will now be available for rent at Sabarmati Riverfront

E-scooter can be rented
AMC has so far created several attractions for family fun on the riverfront. Now one more lookout will be added to the riverfront. Like bicycles on rent, people will now be able to get e-scooters on rent at the riverfront. For the past three-four years, commuters have been renting bicycles and riding them on the Lower Promenade. In the coming days, an exercise has been carried out to make the option of e-scooter available to the citizens. The system has called a request for proposal to get the e-scooter on rent, in which the contractors will present their proposal and the contractor whose proposal the system finds good in terms of income will get the e-scooter. Project will be assigned. Three locations each on West Bank and East Bank have been selected for e-scooter rental.

Discussions have been conducted by AMC to provide e-scooters on rent to commuters at Naranghat on the east bank, east end of Sardar Bridge and east end of foot overbridge. At present, the project will be carried out from a total of six locations, three from the west bank and three from the east bank.
The service will start by Diwali
Currently discussions are going on for the e-scooter project. The system has demanded a ten percent share in the rental income of e-scooters. Further processing may take up to three months. That is, around Navratri-Diwali, a total of 100 e-scooters can be availed by the city dwellers.
