NIA reaches Amravati in Umesh Kolha murder case
An NIA team reached Amravati in Maharashtra on Saturday in connection with the probe into the murder of medical store operator Umesh Kolha. Let me tell you that the Centre’s decision to probe the NIA was taken in view of fears that the chemist’s murder may have been due to a social media post in support of suspended BJP national spokesperson Nupur Sharma. An official of Amravati City Kotwali Police Station said that Umesh had a drug store in Amravati city. He allegedly shared a post in some WhatsApp group in support of Nupur Sharma. Umesh mistakenly sent this post to a WhatsApp group that also included members of other communities.
Police have found several important clues
According to sources, information has come out about his friend Yusuf Khan involved in Umesh Kolha’s murder. Police have found a diary from Umesh’s veterinary medical shop, which gives an account of how many medicines Umesh has borrowed. According to the diary, Dr Yusuf Khan had borrowed medicines worth Rs 2 lakh from Umesh Kolhe. Police are also searching for the bike and car involved in the murder.
