Swine flu patients are being seen in almost all areas of Vadodara city and most of the patients were allowed for treatment in private hospitals during Corona. He is receiving treatment in hospitals. Doctors in private hospitals are treating patients wearing PPE kits. Sayaji Hospital in another city has taken all preparations for swine flu. It may be mentioned that isolation wards have also been prepared in 21 private hospitals of the city.

Gujarat President of Indian Medical Association Dr. Mitesh Shah said that there has been a significant increase in swine flu (H1N1) cases along with corona cases in Vadodara. During the corona epidemic in Vadodara city, which private hospitals were allowed to treat. 21 such hospitals have been approved to treat swine flu patients. And isolation wards are kept ready by private hospitals.

According to the information received, so far swine flu patients have been reported in almost all areas of Vadodara city. According to the Health Department, a total of 9 positive cases were reported in the city on Thursday and 6 positive cases were reported on Friday. Due to this, adequate arrangements have been made for swine flu patients in Vadodara’s Gotri Hospital and SSG Hospital. Panic has spread among the city dwellers with cases of swine flu coming along with corona in the city.

Regarding this, Sayaji Hospital’s Isolation Ward Head Dr. Rupal Doshi said, Swine flu (H1N1) is now known as seasonal flu. In swine flu, the patient has symptoms like sore throat, fever, cough and shortness of breath. People with weak immunity face more problems with swine flu. So they need to be admitted. While some people get better with normal treatment. Currently, not a single swine flu patient is admitted in Sayaji Hospital.

He further said that currently a separate isolation ward has been prepared for swine flu patients at Sayaji Hospital. Which is equipped with necessary facilities including oxygen and ventilator for the patient. There are 24 beds in this ward. If required, another ward will also be prepared. However, not a single patient has needed to be admitted so far. Dr. Rupal Doshi further added that swine flu is also spread through contact like Kovid-19. So, the same precautions that we took in Kovid-19, need to be taken in swine flu. Wear mask, avoid going to crowded areas. Testing for swine flu is also going on at Sayaji Hospital.
