Days spent with the newspaper recalled by former journalists - Bombay News

AHMEDABAD: Mumbai Samachar has played its role as a newspaper for the last two centuries, but at the same time it has taken on the responsibility of an educational institution to train new journalists and teach them journalism lessons. Journalists from 19 newspapers in Ahmedabad organized a small gathering at Navjivan Trust’s Karma Cafe to celebrate the 200th anniversary and refresh the memories of that time. Mumbai Samachar editor Nilesh Dave came specially from Mumbai to attend.
Starting his career with Mumbai Samachar, he was present in other newspapers or channels. In which Dhimant Purohit, Prashant Dayal, Dakshes Pathak, Satish Mori, Kishore Upadhyay, Arun Shah carried out this planning. Among the invited guests were well-wishers including Ajay Umat, Rajiv Pathak, Atul Shah, Mahesh Shah, Leena Mishra, Hari Desai, Shirish Kashikar, Deepak Rajani, Sonal Pandya, Punita Harade and Priyanka and Natwar Patel. Mumbai News editor Nilesh Dave cut the cake. This was given as a memento when the postal stamps and covers of Mumbai Samachar were released recently. Mumbai Samachar’s current Ahmedabad staff Kirit Upadhyay, Pooja Shah, M.G. Desai, Ajay Tiwari, Shaulik Gandhi, Sawan Zalaria, Sanjay Tiwari, Yusuf Ajmeri were present.
Everyone praised the Mumbai Samachar Khumri, the credibility of the news and the attitude of the owners towards the employees and their identity. At the same time, they all parted after enjoying the delicious Gandhi Thali.
