Girls primary school run by Shree Navchetan Andhajan Mandal near Madhapar near district headquarters Bhuj, students are trained in various Kutchi handicrafts and present their art. On the occasion of the upcoming Rakshabandhan festival, the disabled students of the school are currently making around 5 thousand rakhis. Which will be delivered in the form of gifts to the donors of the country and abroad who give financial support to the organization. Along with studying in school, physically and mentally challenged girls are seen making colorful pearl rakhis in a thread of racem. This skill of his may prove useful to him in the future. Apart from rakhi, they are learning to make many handicrafts including mud work, greeting cards, clay idols, lamps from wheat flour.

Divyang girls get free hostel service along with studies
The Kumar School and Primary Girls School and Hostel run by Shri Navchetan Andhajan Mandal are currently functioning at two separate units located at Madhapar. In which the needy girls with physical and mental disabilities are getting free hostel service along with studies at the girls’ school. Currently 112 students are studying in the primary girls school. There are more than 55 female students with disabilities. They are trained in handicrafts during school hours under a tas sauk karya pravuti. Under which they are learning how to make rakhi on the occasion of Rakshabandhan festival. The school said that through this project, students from poor families can become self-sufficient in the future.

Itar pravuti increases self-confidence in girls with disabilities
Jalpaben Maru, the principal of the girls’ school, has assigned the responsibility of imparting training to the students to the industrial teacher Gitaben Bhatt. Geethaben said that during school hours, an hour is given to the disabled and normal girls to make various items. Students are trained in various handicrafts like sewing work, painting, greeting cards, wool work, Bharat knitting, mud work at Udhog room. We also teach him to make suitable items for the public festivals that come during the year. Through this Pravuti increases self-confidence in Divyang girls, which can also prove useful in making them self-reliant for their future. At present about 50 daughters are engaged in the work of rakhi making.

The winning students are encouraged by holding a handicraft competition
In particular, he said that along with providing training to the students in making things suitable for the festival, a competition is also held later on making things. They are also encouraged by ranking winners in different categories according to the level of disability. Which becomes very beneficial in their mental development. The wonderful thing is that even daughters with physical disabilities express great happiness by making rakhi, clay idols, best works out of vests. All these operations are handled by Prajna Chakshu Laljibhai Prajapati, General Secretary and Founder of the organization. And supervision is being held by Joint Minister Himanshu Sompura.
