The government has been shocked by a major scandal involving Micro Labs, the company that made the record-selling drug DOLO-650 during the Corona era. Micro Labs, the company that makes Dolo-650, was found to have started the practice of giving gifts to doctors to increase its earnings after an investigation by the IT department. And it has also been claimed that doctors have been given gifts worth Rs 1,000 crore so far.

The IT department further said that the company which made the dolls took the wrong path to expand its business and distributed gifts worth thousands of crores of rupees to people involved in the medical business. When doctors get so much money, expensive gifts, they obviously have to write Dolo-650.

Preliminary evidence reveals that the company spent money to give gifts to medical professionals under the ‘Sales and Promotion’ item. This includes travel expenses, gifts, etc.

When the micro-labs were first raided, the investigation revealed that the company had evaded taxes to the tune of Rs 300 crore. During the search operation, unaccounted cash amounting to Rs 1.20 crore and unaccounted gold and diamond jewelery worth more than Rs 1.40 crore were also seized, sources said.
