Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Friday issued a major directive to police officials saying there was no need for any special protocol on the Chief Minister’s convoy or his arrival and departure route. This information has been given by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) of the state.
The matter was discussed by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde with Director General of Police Rajneesh Seth and Commissioner of Police Vivek Fansalkar. He then ordered that there should be no such thing as a VIP on the CM’s route. No trains will be stopped for a long time on the CM’s route and security will be kept low on the road.
The Chief Minister has said that stopping the traffic due to the convoy causes many problems to the people. They are late for important work. Trapping an ambulance can endanger a patient’s life. This is a government of the common people, in which ordinary citizens will be given more priority than VIPs.
