Village Dharmapur, located 10 km away from Basaguda, a remote area of ​​the district, did not have electricity till 75 years after independence. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had announced the expansion of electricity during his virtual program on 12 June 2021. Completion of this by the departmental staff, electricity work was completed in 5 Para Gudlaboru, Patelapara, Kunjampara, Pujaripara and Nadipara of Dharmapur.

Extension of 4.709 km of LT line at Dharmapur including 3.9266 km of 11 KV line. Apart from this, the village has been illuminated by installing 5 nos. 25 KV transformers. A total of 82 families of Dharmapur are getting its benefit. Villagers said that due to the arrival of electricity, the fear of snakes and scorpions at night will now get rid of them.
