ODI World Cup in India
According to the latest announcement by ICC, three tournaments will be organized in the Indian subcontinent itself. As far as India is concerned, the BCCI will host the Women’s ODI World Cup in 2025. The tournament will be held in September-October. In the same year, the Women’s World Cup was hosted in New Zealand, in which Australia defeated England in the final.

India hosting after 9 years
This will be the fifth ICC Women’s tournament in India. India has so far hosted 3 ODI World Cups and one T20 World Cup. With this, women’s ICC tournament will return to India after 9 years. India last hosted the T20 World Cup in 2016. At the same time, the last time the ODI World Cup was held in India was in 2013. According to the schedule decided by ICC, 8 teams will participate in the tournament, between which 31 matches including the final will be played.
T20 World Cup in Bangladesh-England
As for other global tournaments, 2024 will begin with the T20 World Cup. The tournament will be held in Bangladesh, in which 23 matches will be played between 10 teams. The tournament will be played in September-October. After this, the World Cup will be played in India in 2025, after which the T20 World Cup will return. This time T20 World Cup 2026 will be held in England. This time 33 matches will be played between 12 teams in the tournament.
