India Tour of Zimbabwe 2022: The Indian cricket team will tour Zimbabwe in August after playing a limited overs series against the West Indies. According to reports, Team India will play a three-match ODI series in Zimbabwe, the schedule of which has also come up.
Notably, the three-match series will be part of the ICC ODI Super League. This series is important for the home team, as the points of the series will be considered for qualifying for the ODI World Cup next year. However, it is not so important for India. As Team India has directly qualified for the World Cup to be played in October 2023.
Team India to reach Zimbabwe on August 15
“We are happy to host Bharti, we look forward to a competitive and memorable series,” a Zimbabwe cricket official said on Friday. “Currently, all the matches will be played at the Harare Sports Club in the capital, and the Indian team is expected to reach Harare on August 15,” a CricketBuzz report said.
ODI Series Schedule –
According to reports, Team India will play three ODIs in Zimbabwe on August 18, 20 and 22, all at Harare Sports Club. This is India’s first tour of Zimbabwe in six years. The last time India visited, the MS Dhoni-led team played three ODIs and as many T20I matches in June-July 2016.
